Campground Review – Mission Bay RV Resort

Location, location, location … that’s the Mission Bay RV Resort.  Located right on Mission Bay this is a gated RV park (with a guard shack and guards) that is central to everything near San Diego.  And at one time it could have been called a resort, it’s really more of a park now and a very crowded one at that.  There’s not a blade a grass anywhere and all sites are asphalt and very close to each other.

But you can’t beat the location.  It’s a pretty crowded park and as in most parks, the RVers you find there are very friendly.  The restrooms were clean.  The laundry room was clean too but be prepared if you do laundry, it’s tiny, tiny room with two washers and two dryers and nowhere to sit.

They do have about 10 sites that face the bay and those are a little bigger, but those are also all asphalt with not a blade of grass anywhere.

They’ve got a food shack on site which is supposed to have really good breakfast burritos, but we didn’t ever give it a try.  Being more of a stay at home breakfast family.

Would we stay there again?  You bet, in a heartbeat, because the location and price can’t be beat.  But we’ve definitely stayed in much nicer parks with nicer amenities and bigger spaces.

Stay safe and keep making those memories.
